Senior Planner

The City of Palm Coast, Florida is hiring a Senior Planner for its Community Development Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the city’s future amid rapid growth. Responsibilities include both current and long-range planning activities such as updating the Land Development Code, preparing Master Plan Developments, modifying ordinances, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of urban planning principles
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and practical decision-making ability
  • Deep understanding of the Comprehensive Plan and its role in sustainable growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field
  • Four years of professional planning experience in a public organization (or equivalent education and experience)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • AICP certification
  • Experience with public engagement processes
  • Proficiency in GIS

Salary Range: $68,000 – $100,000 (Depending on Qualifications)
