Starting Salary: $54,749 to $76,648, plus $7,500 SIGNING BONUS
The Town of Ponce Inlet is seeking a creative and highly motivated Senior Planner to assist in the planning and zoning functions of the department, with an emphasis on current planning and development review. Other duties include assisting with updates to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, Land Use and Development Code, and development review process; preparing professional reports and presenting findings to elected and appointed officials; and providing exemplary customer service in a team-oriented environment. Position reports to the Principal Planner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from an accredited program or related area of study, and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in local government planning, including customer service; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. AICP certification is desired.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, organization, and critical thinking ability. Strong understanding of planning principles and ability to apply code regulations through review of plans and permits. MS Office software proficiency is required. Skills with mapping and/or graphic design software are desired.
