City Planner

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is accepting applications for the City Planner position. The City Planner is responsible for the technical and administrative work required to maintain, update and administer the City’s Land Development Code and Comprehensive Plan.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing entitlement, annexation and site development applications and proposals. Necessary skills include: report preparation, planning related research and analysis, customer service, and public presentation. The City Planner is expected to act independently in carrying out responsibilities and act as the lead staff on the development review committee. The position consists of a full range of benefits including an exempt full-time salary, medical, dental and life insurance, retirement programs and personal leave. Position requires a minimum Bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning or related field supplemented by professional planning experience.
