WORK HOURS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM The purpose of this position serves as a senior supervisory professional and technical person involving all phases of City zoning and development review. The individual in this position receives general supervision and policy direction. This position reports to the Department Director. |

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: |
|
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Administration or related field, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preference will be given for an active Zoning Inspector Certification with the International Code Council (ICC).
Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver’s License with an approved driving history. |

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
