Senior Planner

Seeking an experienced Senior Planner. The Senior Planner is involved in technical/complex projects and long-range planning, focused on the City’s overall growth and development.

Successful candidate will bring an assortment of skills that aligns with the qualifications/ experience below. Involves public contact and requires sound judgment and initiative.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training, and Experience) 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field; supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years previous experience and/or training involving urban planning, local/state land use, zoning, site plan review, geographical information system operations, digital mapping, map design/interpretation, and personal computer operations. Experience with Florida Growth Management regulations preferred. Experience with architectural building design preferred.  Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
