The CFRPC seeks a full-time Program Coordinator/Program Manager (DOQ) to coordinate grant and environmental planning programs.  Work includes data collection, analysis, research, preparing monitoring reports and grant applications; scheduling and coordinating meetings, and working with local governments, and natural resource and environmental agencies and organizations.  Attendance and presentations at night or Saturday meetings or community workshops may be required from time to time.  This position also assists in coordinating the Avon Park Air Force Range Sentinel Landscape Program.

 

The Central Florida Regional Planning Council’s (CFRPC) primary mission is to provide support to the citizens and local governments of our region and to seek ways to improve the quality of life of the citizens of the Heartland through technical assistance to local governments, transportation planning, emergency preparedness and economic development coordination in DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, and Polk Counties.  The office is located in Bartow, Florida, which is the County Seat of Polk County.  The CFRPC is an award-winning team staffed by a small, highly experienced group of planning professionals and program specialists. Qualifications:  A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, agriculture, geography, planning or related field. Proficiency in GIS mapping and analyses using ESRI software is preferred. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be substituted.  Applicants must be motivated and have good verbal and written communication skills, thorough research skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.  Must have valid driver’s license or be able to secure a valid Florida driver’s license at time of employment.  Competitive salary and full benefits package.
