ASSISTANT PLANNER

$54,971 – $77,348 annually

City of Pompano Beach, Florida, seeks to hire a full-time Assistant Planner to answer zoning related inquiries, review minor building permits, process applications, research property history, and provide high level administrative support to the city’s development related boards. This position accepts and processes all requests for site plans, variances, rezonings, abandonments, special exceptions, temporary permits, etc. This includes preparing, advertising and mailing the public hearing notice to all owners.

Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Geography or a closely related field. Two (2) years of experience working in governmental planning or municipal codes preferred.
