FPZA Calusa Chapter Webinar (August 25)

FPZA Calusa Chapter invites you to join us for a webinar on August 25th at noon. Mary Gibbs, FAICP and Laura DeJohn, AICP will present details on the Village of Estero Land Development Code and Zoning Updates. This free event is registered for ACIP CM credits.

Mary Gibbs, FAICP is the Community Development Director for the Village of Estero. Prior to joining the Village of Estero in 2016, Mary was Lee County’s Community Development Director for 25 years. As Community Development Director she manages the Planning, Zoning, Building Permitting, Site Plan Review, Code Enforcement and Inspections functions for the Village. This has included development of the Village’s first Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code to help guide future growth and the vision of Estero. She is also staff liaison to the Planning Zoning and Design Board. Mary is a nationally certified urban planner and has a Master’s Degree in Geography from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and also received her MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University.

 Laura DeJohn, AICP is the director of Johnson Engineering’s planning and landscape architecture group. Prior to joining Johnson Engineering in 2004, she served five years as a planner for the City of Naples and received Bachelor and Master degrees in Planning from University of Virginia.  Laura is a certified planner, member of the Urban Land Institute, serves on the Collier County Development Services Advisory Committee, and has presented on planning related topics for the American Institute of Architects of Southwest Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University, FPZA, and the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association.
