Surfcoast Chapter Announcements

It is time again for consideration of the Surfcoast Chapter annual Florida Planning and Zoning Association Awards. These awards define the standard for land development and public/private sector planning efforts within the geographic area of our Chapter which consists of Flagler and Volusia Counties.  

This is our second annual awards program which is the centerpiece of our holiday gala is scheduled for December 10, 2010  at which time the award winners are announced and trophies presented.  The Awards Gala will be held at the RiverGrille Restaurant located on the Tomoka River in Ormond Beach.  

Members and non-members alike are encouraged to submit applications for outstanding projects deserving of recognition through this award program.   CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

GREEN LUNCHEON

Come join us on Friday, August 20th for a ‘Green Luncheon’ being sponsored by the Flagler Home Builders Association, City of Palm Coast and FPZA Surfcoast Chapter.  The event is being held in Palm Coast at the Hilton Garden Inn. 

The Program Topic:  Achieving Sustainability through Planning and Development Strategies

Approval is pending for 1.5 AICP credits.

You can learn how the City of Palm Coast has embraced sustainability through numerous initiatives including HB697.  The Flagler Home Builders Association will share insight about these initiatives that may affect the construction industry.  The luncheon program will also feature a tour of the Hilton Garden Inn which is certified as a ‘green lodging’ facility.
